Inspiration comes at all different times. Unexpected it arrived when I was feeling disconnected . I felt like I was performing my daily activities in a fog. Kept going but not really feeling present I saw an oil mark on the wet ash felt of a car park. The colours were iridescent and beautiful and the shape extended out from a central area reminding me of a peacock feather. I wanted to grab that image and paint; the fog lifted.
